Workshop Description:
Join us in creating your very own personal journal using repurposed cigar boxes for covers and a two-needle Coptic stitch binding, which dates back to the second century A.D. This journal is not only unique but also sturdy.
In this class, Richard will guide you through the process of creating a paper jig and working with multiple needles to bind the signatures and covers together with the Coptic stitch. Richard will provide pre-drilled cigar box covers for the class, but he will also explain how to modify the measurements to work for other cover sizes.
There will be a variety of cigar box covers available to choose from in the class. You can also check out some of the sample journals Richard has completed in the workshop images. Don't miss this chance to create a one-of-a-kind journal that will stand the test of time!
